When we first met Donna-Marie, we were dropping off our 1 year old daughter for the first time at the Whitehills Childcare Association (Saint Thomas Aquinas site). Donna-Marie’s calm and sweet nature helped us to feel comfort that Camryn was receiving amazing love and care while we were at work. Fast forward 2 years, and we were pregnant with twins! I searched high and low for a nanny that would give us the same daycare experience that we had come to know and love (care by a trained & expert Early Childhood Educator) in our home. I contacted Donna-Marie personally to ask if she would be interested in being our nanny. It was a big ask. We were now a family of a 2 1/2 year old, 10 month old twins, 2 cats & 2 golden retrievers! Plus, we have a pool which made it even more important that I found the right person.
Donna-Marie has been more than a nanny for us over the past 4 years she’s been with us. She is patient, kind, fun, responsible, caring and trustworthy. She’s often throwing special events for my kids like a spontaneous birthday party for their stuffies, or taking them on an excursion or a field trip, or teaching them how to write their name, dress themselves, and of course, the regular dance party. People often tell me how well behaved, funny, polite and independent my children are and I credit a lot of that to Donna-Marie.
As Donna-Marie starts this new chapter of home childcare, she will still be in our lives as their “Auntie”.
