Building Blocks Home Childcare is located in Sarnia, ON, in the middle of Michigan Ave, Colborne Rd and Indian Rd. Just a short distance from Rosedale Public School and Northern Collegiate Institute and Vocational school. 

My Goal 

Here at Building Blocks Home Childcare my goal as a caregiver/educator is to provide a warm, loving, comfortable yet educational space for children to develop and grow. I will provide positive play based learning experiences that are led by the children. The curriculum has some structure but all activities are based on the collective interests of the children. Our day will consist of Outdoor play promoting exercise and gross motor development,  activities such as creative arts, music and movement, songs and stories as well as individual areas for independent and group play. Free play indoors and outdoors is encouraged in order to allow the children to express themselves freely. Free play is also beneficial for me as an educator in regards to observation and curriculum planning. It helps me to incorporate fun developmentally appropriate activities based on the children’s interests and abilities. We will have outings that allow the children to explore different environments, meet new people and have fun outside of our regular daily routine. 

Program Hours

My program offers full time childcare Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm excluding all statutory holidays. Part time care can be negotiated on an individual basis and is only available for the equivalent of one full time space.
