Hi there, let me introduce myself!
My name is Donna-Marie a.k.a. Miss Dee, and I am the owner and operator of Building Blocks Home Childcare By Miss Dee. I love to travel and I try to stay active as much as possible. I have many hobbies and love spending as much time as I can with family and friends.
I have been working with children and families for more than 25 years, their ages ranging from new born to 12yrs. I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator and have worked in childcare centres as well as private homes as a nanny.
My last position as a private nanny came to an end in September 2019 due to the children starting school, because of this I decided that my next best step is to offer childcare and education for children in my home. I live in a smoke free, pet friendly home. I have two small dogs that love people especially children.
As a caregiver/educator I believe in the importance of play based and child led learning but also like to incorperate a little routine and structured learning into the mix. Through my programming here at Building Blocks Home Childcare, children will have fun building the fundamentals of learning through play, songs, exploration, outings and so much more! I am First-Aid and CPR certified and have current police and vulnerable sectors checks.
